What are you facing? Will they even bother making a law suit if you're just a small fish? I seriously doubt that. Doesn't Blender override those pieces of stored information with it's own?
Second thing - import FBX in an open-source program (Blender) and export it as FBX as well.
uasset format and I'm pretty sure there's no way those can be backtracked. Let's assume there's something encoded in that FBX file that stores information about the license. Once you export as FBX it's no longer there though. How can Autodesk know if we've used a student version? Right, the saves have a little 'You're using a student version of Maya' when you open them. If you do any of those, you are going against the law and can be sued. Using a student version of Maya is only for learning the program - you cannot share your projects publicly, you cannot sell, etc.
I've been doing some digging since this topic intrigues me.
